it was 1988 between my Jr & Sr. year of highschool and I was at some school convention in cincinnatti and they were having the allstar game there at the same time. the palce was crawling with celebrities. This was really towards the begining of his career but we mobbed him like the gang of school girls we were and he was so nice to put up with all of our screaming and nonsense and stick around to sign autographs.
I met him at Elliot Bay Book Co when he was on the book tour for Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas. He drew a funny little picture in my book but I have no idea what it’s a picture of
